I work on Opono, which simulates football: single matches to whole seasons, played out minute by minute, for about 1,800 clubs in 82 countries and nearly 200 national teams. You can change a lineup or the tactics for a match, transfer a player or a coach, or rule a player out injured, and see what might happen. It started out doing the same thing for news and asset prices.
I also made yardstick-predict, an open-source tool that forecasts how long an AI coding task will take and what it will cost, before it runs. It learns from your own past Claude Code and Codex runs.
Before that, I did a PhD in Management Science and Operations at London Business School. My thesis was about how Medicare should pay hospitals when their performance is partly down to luck.
I am from Trabzon, Maçka. I grew up in Istanbul. I like books.
